Edge joins the show:

Kevin brought us back to Backlash when Kurt and Edge stole the show. Kevin asked Edge for his feelings on that and Edge said that during the match, he knew they were onto something special. It was a straight up wrestling match with no tables or ladders. Besides having a tag team stigma, he might have had the gimmick match stigma too so he was happy to be able to go in the ring and have a straight up match to prove to the naysayers that he can produce.

Edge put over Kurt by saying that Kurt brings up your intensity level and Johnny Ace and Kurt Angle have really helped Edge out when it comes to the singles wrestling.

Kevin asked Edge how his life has been different in this era of the brand extension? Edge said that it's been awesome. Since the split, he's looked at it as an opportunity. With the split, guys are going to move up the totem pole and get a chance and Edge has received that chance. He's so excited and he feels like a different worker. He always second guessed himself and has had doubts about being able to do stuff, but he has a different confidence going out there now.

Kevin asked Edge what it was like to work with Hogan on Smackdown! and Edge said it was so much fun. Growing up, he was a big time Hulk Hogan fan and his favorite part of the show was the pre-tape he did with the Hulk Hogan imitation. It was a lot of fun and it was just awesome to team up with him. He never thought that he'd work with guys like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair and it's been a lot of fun.

Kevin brought up the hair vs. hair match with Jarrett vs. X-Pac and Jarrett wound up looking better. Kevin asked Edge if he would go fully bald if he loses to Kurt at Judgment Day? Edge said he would, but he and bald don't get along too well.

Kevin asked Edge if there's anyone besides Kurt Angle that he would like to see bald that isn't bald now? Edge threw out the name Chris Jericho, because he and Jericho have a hate-hate relationship.

They went to a caller and the caller asked Edge what his dream match would be from the past or the present? Edge said that Shawn Michaels' name would probably top the list. Bret Hart is another guy. There's so many guys that he'd like to work and he'd like to go against Hulk Hogan, too. He'd also like to have a singles run against Chris Benoit and Triple H.

Kevin asked Edge what the hardest thing for him to do is? Edge said the hardest part is leaving home each and every week. The thing is that he loves what he does and since the split, he's been excited. That's the toughest part, but he's enjoying himself so much right now and everything is going real good in his life.

Tom asked Edge what his mom thinks of Edge's singles push? Edge said that she's loving it, especially the stuff with Hogan because she's witnessed his being a mark for Hogan as a kid.

They went to a caller and the caller asked Edge how he's changed as a wrestler since his 1998 WWE debut? Edge said it's almost night and day from what he's been doing now and two months ago. He's probably gotten smarter since 1998 and learned a different style that works and a style that can translate into main event.

Kevin brought up the fact that he's been studying some Japanese wrestling and Edge said that he's been watching some All Japan and he and Regal threw some All Japan stuff into their stuff.

Kevin asked Edge what he thinks of the Tough Enough concept and Edge said he thinks it's great because people will get a different look at what they do and they earn respect for what they do.

Hell in a Cell... Edge said he and Kurt have some competition when it comes to stealing the show. Chris and Triple H have some chemistry like Edge and Angle have. Edge thinks they're going to be able to tear it down and have one hell of a match and he thinks they'll be able to do it without falling through the cage.

They wrapped it up with Edge and he'll go against Kurt Angle at WWE Judgment Day in a Hair vs. Hair match!
