Live MSN Chat with Edge on November 7, 2002.

Digital Dish Diva says:
Tonight we are pleased to welcome SmackDown! Superstar Edge to MSN Live!

Digital Dish Diva says:
Edge, it is great to have you here!

Edge says:
Hey, how's it goin?

Digital Dish Diva says:
Edge, what's interesting is that you have fans here from around the world. Is that odd to you?

Edge says:
It's kind of mind boggling. We just got back from Finland and you go out there and people know who you are. I remember Chris Jericho and I caught a cab and the driver knew who we were!

puddle22 in Onstage1 asks:
Hi Edge, I just want to know how you felt when you were performing in Singapore?

Edge says:
I really enjoyed Singapore. It would be a place I would go on my own time to vacation. That whole trip from Japan and Singapore to Malaysia, the fans were insane. We didn't know what to expect and it was great.
UranicSquid in Onstage3 asks:
Edge you think you're gonna beat Kurt Angle (used to be best friend) and Chris Benoit for the WWE Tag Team Championship?

Edge says:
Yes and watch SmackDow!n tonight because Ray and I wrestle Angle and Benoit in a battle.

619Mysterio2 in Onstage1 asks:
Hi Edge. Any chance of you teaming back up with the Hulkster to win the tag team gold again?

Edge says:
Right now I'm teaming with Mysterio. I think the goal now is to win with Mysterio and get a title.

SwEeT_n_SwEeTa in Onstage3 asks:
So how did it feel to win a tag team match, especially the championships with Hogan?

Edge says:
Growing up he was my hero, my idol and I would have never thought he and I would be at the same points in our careers. I thought he would be gone by the time I got to where I wanted to be. So I had a cheesy grin on my face, but it was real.

Digital Dish Diva says:
That must have been so surreal.

Edge says:
It was probably THE MOST fun I've had in this business to this date.

justin_sideyou in Onstage1 asks:
Edge, I really enjoyed your more serious character, similar to when you were in The Brood. Is there going to come a time when you will revert back to the serious character instead of the comedic one?

Edge says:
Right now I try and combine the two because I've always liked characters that can laugh at themselves, but when the time comes can get serious and kick some butt. I would like to take parts from each character and fuse them and get what you have now.

MasterKojiro in Onstage5 asks:
What goes through your head, Edge, before a huge bout?

Edge says:
Not really all that much. I know it sounds strange, but I get into my own little zone and don't think about much. I feed off the crowd and let the adrenaline get me to where I'm at. The bigger and better the crowd, the more you'll get from the performers.

TRICK_PONY3 in Onstage5 asks:
Hi my name is Tonya and I'm from Fla. I was just wondering what kind of music you like myself I like country music.

Edge says:
I actually don't like country, but there's nothing wrong with that. My tastes run all over the place. I love the Beatles, Queen, Eagles, Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Peppers, anything with drums.

LeafyCypress in Onstage3 asks:
How did you feel when Christian jumped to RAW?

Edge says:
It was weird because pretty much all of my close friends in the business all jumped at the same time with Jericho, Christian, and Lance. I kind of went, "Wow, everybody is gone." So it was a weird transition, but I think it was better that we both were on our own shows so both our careers could blossom.

sillysun22 in Onstage3 asks:
What do you think of Chris Jericho's band, Fozzy?

Edge says:
Fozzy sucks. (laughs) Actually I have both of their CD's and find myself singing some of their songs.

STEPHMcMAHONISHOT in Onstage3 asks:
What is like to work with Stephanie McMahon?

Edge says:
Pretty much the same as working with everyone else. We're all there to produce a good product. She is more in the writing process than the vignettes and things like that.

Edge says:
She is like any other McMahon. This is their passion.

Rockfan1678 in Onstage5 asks:
Being from Canada, whos your favorite Hockey Player?

Edge says:
Oh, wow! That's a tough one. Do I go with my friends or do I go with the guys I grew up on? I'm buddies with Shane Corson and Grant Marshall so I'll say those two. But I've always been a big Gretzky fan, and Sean Burke.

outlaw6173 in Onstage3 asks:
How do you stay in shape while on the road all the time?

Feramas in Onstage4 asks:
I know that being a wrestler is hard hard. So how and when do you find time to work out?

Edge says:
That's the toughest part probably is maintaining a diet and sleep which are two of the most important ingredients to staying in shape. And getting into the gym. Most of the time when we get in the building it's midnight, so if you can get some chicken breasts or egg whites at that time of the night, you're ok. Then make it into the gym and do at least a 45 minute workout. Doing what we do for a living, we're lifting bodies (laughs) fairly heavy bodies, so that's a workout. (laughs)

sExyTySoNrOxMyWoRlD in Onstage5 asks:
Edge, I just want to tell you that i think you are so damn sexy!!!!!!!!

hardygal_35 in Onstage5 asks:
What is it like to have thousands of girls screaming your name?

Edge says:
(laughs) I've never really understood it to be honest. I think everyone is critical of their own appearance and I'm no different. But who am I to say. So to each their own.

Digital Dish Diva says:
So ladies, you can keep on screaming!

???Sha?nSha??ie??? in Onstage5 asks:
Edge, how does it feel being around the same people who has the same goal, and dream as you?

Edge says:
It's fun. I think that's what it boils down to. Growing up, everyone would do the laugh, or people not believing I would really do this. You have to have a passion because it's a selective field and you really have to want it. At the level we're all at we all had to want it. So that's a special feeling. It's kind of a brotherhood, a camaraderie. I think that's what I'll miss the most, and the crowd reaction. I've always said those are the things I'd miss, sitting in the locker room with the guys.

CORY_THE_NEXT_BIG_THING2 in Onstage1 asks:
Whats it like to be in a ring every week, and eat and sleep the WWE?

Edge says:
Wouldn't have it any other way. This is what I wanted and it hasn't disappointed me yet.

Carolina_Belle1 in Onstage1 asks:
Who is your best friend in the business and why?

Edge says:
Would have to be Christian. We've grown up together, went to school, lived together in college, and now we're in the business together. We do act like brothers. I was the best man at his wedding and he'll be my best man at my official wedding.

TheoneandonlyHULKSTER in Onstage1 asks:
Hi Edge! Where were you before WWE? Did you have to go to a special wrestling school or something like that?

Edge says:
Before WWE I wrestled for 5 years, trained for a year in a school in Toronto. This is something you have to train for. You couldn't just walk in off the street. Like if I wanted to play for the Oakland Raiders and walked in and expected to be able to play

Edge says:
You have to be trained for it and even then, there's no guarantee. My trainers stressed that it's not guaranteed because it's a selective business.

MEMDAWGISHARD2OPPOSE in Onstage5 asks:
Edge what is your ultimate goal and do you feel you will get it accomplished?

Edge says:
Ultimate goal is the World Title. And yes I do. No doubt in my mind. That may sound cocky, but to me it's confidence. That should be the goal to anyone that gets into this business. I never doubted I would make it to WWE and now I have that confidence for the World Title. You have to have that confidence to have Vince McMahon look at you.

infection128938 in Onstage1 asks:
What is your favorite type of match to wrestle in?

Edge says:
Either just a straight up one on one singles match with like Benoit, and maybe a steel cage thrown in once in a while, because they take a lot out of your body.

Edgehead013 in Onstage3 asks:
What do you think is the most memorable match you've ever been in?

Digital Dish Diva says:
Would that be with Hulk Hogan?

Edge says:
There's been so many. That was probably the most fun I've had. Just from like a kid's perspective it's like playing with Gretzky. There have been some great matches--winning with wrestling and winning in Toronto where I had sat in the crowd as a teen.

doggpack316what in Onstage1 asks:
Who was your first pro match against?

Edge says:
July 1, 1993 there was Battle Royal, a tag team match, myself and El Fuego Kid and myself against Joe E. Legend and Zack Wild who was the American Gladiator on Canada Day in Monarch Park in Toronto.

smurfchicas in Onstage3 asks:
I was wondering. . . you said an official wedding. What does that mean? Everyone in the chat room is talking about it.

Edge says:
It's actually pretty weird how Sept. 11th affected everything. My wife and I are both Canadian and live in the U.S. and having to cross the border for wedding plans, we decided to just go to the justice of the peace and get the legalities out of the way so she could travel on my work visa and not get hassled. So we did that. Our one year anniversary is tomorrow.

Digital Dish Diva says:
From all of your fans here, happy anniversary! I hope you are treating your wife to something wonderful tomorrow!

Edge says:
(laughs) Yeah. And she's treating me to chicken noodle soup.

EastSideBro in Onstage4 asks:
Hey Edge, I dream of becoming a WWE superstar one day, and I've been doing activities that I think will help, but what else can I do to one day accomplish my goal?

Edge says:
Don't try and do it on your own. Don't do all that backyard crap. Go to a gym, get some training. Even we who have been trained get hurt, we get hurt bad. So go to school and get trained. Don't expect to be paid much in the beginning. Wrestle for free. I wrestled for 6 people starting out, while they sat on bails of hay. But you can look back on it one day and you'll be able to laugh at it.

Digital Dish Diva says:
Edge, thank you for chatting with your fans this afternoon!

Digital Dish Diva says:
Tune into SmackDown! on UPN at 8pm ET!

Edge says:
Believe it or not, the signs (from fans) mean something to me. I see them. So keep bringing them and I will try and keep doing what I'm doing.
