FANTASY WARFARE

In Most editions of Fantasy Warfare we attempt to match up a Superstar of today with one of yesteryear.  But this time, were going with two modern-day warriors.  Raw Magazine gets its share of fan mail from female readers, and Kevin Nash and Christian seem to be at the top of the list of female match up a pair of Raw Superstars---who have never met in the ring---to find out who is the better man.  Well call it Big Sexy vs. The Sexy Beast.

Kevin Nash

Strengths

Which man is sexier?  Thats one question were not going to tackle here.  But Nash is unquestionable bigger.  At 6-foot-11 and 325 pounds, there are few Superstars in the world who can match his proportions.  He also has a slight edge in experience, particularly in bigger matches, as hes won a total of six heavyweight titles in WWE and WCW.  Finally, there is no cooler customer under pressure than Nash.

Weaknesses

The big man has had some trouble staying healthy.  Last year, he ruptured his quad, which necessitated a long absence from the ring.  Currently, he is sidelined with neck problems.  Injuries like these are like targets for an opponent.  With a foe smart enough to capitalize on a weakened areasuch as Christianit could smell trouble, even for a powerhouse like Nash

Key Wins

On November 26, 1994, Nash (competed as Diesel) defeated Bob Backlund for the WWE Championship.  His title run would last just one week short of a full year, easily the longest reign of the last 15 years.  In WCW, in the late 90s, there was only one question: Who would end Goldbergs Streak.  On December 27, 1998, during WCW Starrcade, Nash become the man to end the legendary 173-match win streak, as he defeated Goldberg for the WCW Championship.  It was Nashs first reign as WCW champion, and he went on to win that title a total of five times, proving himself to be one of worlds elite grapplers.

Key Losses

On June 15, 2003, at Bad Blood, after months of a bitter rivalry, Nash faced Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Hell in a Cell match.  The fight turned into a barbaric struggle between the old friends, but when the dust settled, Triple Hs hand was raised as the winner.  While in still in WCW Nash was part of a bizarre scheme that resulted in a title loss.  After defeating Goldberg for the title, he faced Hulk Hogan on the January 4, 1999 edition of Nitro.  Unbeknownst to the fans, the two had conspired before the show to hand the Hulkster the title.  Nash simply lay down on the mat as Hogan pinned him.

Finishing Move

Nash isnt the first man to use the Jackknife Powerbomb, but his variation is bigger and sexier than most.  Because of his height and the extra lift he gives at the top of the move, the impact is much greater than others (although several victims reported enjoying the view before crashing to the mat).

Strategy

With such a major size advantage over the Sexy Beast, Nash would be wise to employ a straight forward assault.  Nash usually works quickly, and he should follow that same style in taking the action straight to his opponent.  He doesnt want to give Christian time to reach to his movements.  Engaging Christian in a technical match would be a mistake.

CHRISTIAN

Strengths

Undoubtedly one of the top ring tacticians in the world, Christian can adapt to an opponents style and offset their strengths with unorthodox offensive maneuvers.  He is also an established winner, as hes earned title reigns in five different divisions (Intercontinental, Tag Team, European, Light-Heavyweight and Hardcore).  He also has an incredible sense of style and an incredible fan base of peeps to keep him motivated.

Weaknesses

At 6-foot-1 230 pounds, he is giving up nearly a foot in height and 100 pounds of weight, so he is at a major size disadvantage in this bout.

Key Wins

Christian first gained notoriety with his brother Edge as a revolutionary tag team, and on August 27, 2000 at SummerSlam, the two cemented their legends by defeating the Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz at the first-ever Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.  Previously, on October 18, 1998, in his WWE debut, he defeated Taka Michinoku for the Light-Heavyweight title.  More recently, Christian defeated Edge for his first Intercontinental Championship at Unforgiven 2001.

Key Losses

On the September 22, 2003 edition of Raw: Christian lost his Intercontinental title to Rob Van Dam in a thrilling Ladder match.  On July 2, 2003, Booker t defeated Christian to end his second IC title reign.  During his tag team days, he and Edge were defeated by the Hardyz at No Mercy 99, in a Ladder Match that is considered a modern-day classic.

Finishing Move

Christian has such a varied offense that the end can dome at any time, and with any maneuver.  Historically, his weapon of choke has been the Unprettier, a move in which he twists his opponent into a face-down position before mercilessly driving their head into the mat.  The move could have horrifying consequences on Nashs good looks.
